Located in compact myelin; extracellular space; and sarcolemma. Used to study anterior uveitis; colorectal carcinoma; glomerulonephritis; nephrosis; and neuromyelitis optica. Biomarker of acute necrotizing pancreatitis; diabetic retinopathy; and myocardial infarction. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in colorectal carcinoma and ovarian Cancer.
