CHIKV-IN-5 (Compound 26) is a CHIKV inhibitor (EC90 = 0.45 μM). CHIKV-IN-5 inhibits CHIKV replication at a late stage in the virus life cycle by blocking structural protein translation. CHIKV-IN-5 has great in vitro mouse microsomal stability. CHIKV-IN-5 reduces footpad swelling and decreases virus dissemination to other tissues in mice infected with CHIKV[1].

CHIKV-IN-5（80 mg/kg，腹腔注射，每天两次，3 天）可减轻 CHIKV 感染小鼠的足垫肿胀，并显著减少病毒向其他组织的扩散[1]。
CHIKV-IN-5 (0.5-20 mg/kg，腹腔注射、静脉注射、口服、皮下注射) 在雄性 C57BL/6 小鼠体内显示出良好的代谢稳定性[1]。

Animal Model: CHIKV-infected male C57BL/6 mice (1000 PFU CHIKV181/25 in a 20 μL volume)[1]
Dosage: 80 mg/kg
Administration: Intraperitoneal injection (i.p.), twice a day, 3 days
Result: Reduced footpad swelling as a result of infection.
Significant reduction in secondary tissue spread to the spleen and right quadriceps tissues was detected.
Animal Model: Male C57BL/6 mice[1]
Dosage: i.v.:0.5 mg/mL, p.o., s.c., i.p.: 20 mg/mL
Administration: Intravenous (i.v.), Intraperitoneal (i.p.), Oral (p.o.), Subcutaneous (s.c.)
Result: Displayed good parameters by the i.p. route with the longest t1/2 time (3.52 h), highest concentration (2460 ng/mL) and greatest bioavailability (91%).
