Lauroylamide propylbetaine  (Synonyms: Lauramidopropyl betaine)

Lauroylamide propylbetaine (Lauramidopropyl betaine) is an ampholytic surfactant for cosmetic and hair compositions to enhance viscosity and has good biodegradability. Lauroylamide propylbetaine promotes CH4 hydrate formation by reducing the induction time and increasing the CH4 consumption rate for hydrate growth^[1][2][3].

Lauroylamide propylbetaine (0-0.6 wt%, 0-1600 min) greatly reduces the induction time in vitro, particularly when the subcooling temperature is low^[1].
