The activity of ACS is tightly regulated by complex systems, including carbon flux-mediated gene expression and post-translational regulation via the NAD+/sirtuin-dependent pathway.
Acetyl-CoA synthetase can induce Autophagy, and its mediated histone acetylation plays a significant role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and tumor development[1][2][3].
