NMY1009 is a lipophilic C8-hydrocarbon chain conjugated analog that links mitochondrial uncouplers via ether linkages. NMY1009 can be released and enter the mitochondrial matrix and intermembrane space, thereby targeting mitochondrial uncoupler to adipose tissue and increasing energy expenditure in brown and white adipose tissue[1].
