Polyoxin B  (Synonyms: 保利霉素B; 5-(2-amino-5-O-carbamoyl-2-deoxy-L-xylonamido-1,5-dideoxy-1-(3,4-dihydro-5-hydroxymethyl-2,4-dioxo-1(2H)-pyrimidinyl)-β-D-allofuranuronic acid)

Polyoxin B is a potent chitin synthase inhibitor (IC₅₀=0.08 mM) and an effective antifungal agent^[1].

Polyoxin B has anti-fungi effects in vitro, the MIC values are 32 μg/ml, 64 μg/ml, 64 μg/ml and 8 μg/ml, respectively against Candida albicans, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillums fumigatus, and Cryptococcus neoformans^[1].
