描述

CD98 Protein, a chaperone, aids in the biogenesis and trafficking of functional transporter heterodimers to the plasma membrane. It forms heterodimers with SLC7 family transporters, acting as amino acid antiporters with substrate specificity determined by the SLC7A subunit. CD98 is crucial for plasma membrane localization, stability, and transport activity of SLC7A5 and SLC7A8. When associated with LAPTM4B, the SLC7A5 heterodimer is recruited to lysosomes, promoting leucine uptake and mTORC1 activation. CD98 modulates integrin-related signaling and is essential for integrin-dependent cell spreading, migration, and tumor progression. Additionally, it interacts with TLCD3A/CT120, ICAM1, and beta-1 integrins. CD98 Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant rat-derived CD98 protein, expressed by HEK293, with N-hFc labeled tag. The total length of CD98 Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is 428 a.a., with molecular weight of ~95 kDa.
