Desmin is a muscle-specific type III intermediate filament that is critical for muscle structural integrity. It forms myofibrils, interconnects Z-disks and strengthens muscle fibers. Desmin/DES Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Desmin/DES protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
