HPD is a key enzyme in tyrosine catabolism and plays a key role in catalyzing the conversion of 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate into homogentisate. This enzymatic process represents a key step in the tyrosine metabolic pathway and contributes to the breakdown of this amino acid. HPD/HPPDase Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived HPD/HPPDase protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
