描述

LRP-5 Protein functions as a coreceptor, collaborating with frizzled receptors to initiate the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. It crucially regulates cell fate determination, self-renewal, and plays a significant role in posterior epiblast patterning during gastrulation and bone development by influencing osteoblast proliferation and differentiation. LRP-5 facilitates the formation of a signaling complex, stabilizing beta-catenin and activating TCF/LEF-mediated transcription. As a coreceptor for non-Wnt proteins like norrin/NDP, LRP-5 contributes to retinal vascular development. Interactions with partners, including FZD8, AXIN1, DKK1, MESD, KREMEN2, CSNK1E, SOST, APCDD1, and CAPRIN2, underscore its intricate involvement in diverse cellular processes. Stored at -20°C for 2 years. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
