MAdCAM1, expressed in mucosal venules, acts as a crucial cell adhesion leukocyte receptor, directing lymphocyte traffic into mucosal tissues. It regulates leukocyte passage and retention, effectively binding to integrin alpha-4/beta-7 and L-selectin for comprehensive leukocyte adhesion control. Both isoforms 1 and 2 adhere to integrin alpha-4/beta-7, with isoform 2, lacking the mucin-like domain, potentially specializing in integrin-dependent adhesion strengthening, independently of L-selectin binding. MAdCAM1 forms homodimers to mediate cell adhesion. MAdCAM1 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived MAdCAM1 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His labeled tag. The total length of MAdCAM1 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is 343 a.a., with molecular weight of 60-70 kDa.
