SLPI Protein, an acid-stable proteinase inhibitor, modulates immune responses to bacterial infection. It down-regulates responses to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and regulates NF-kappa-B activation and inflammatory responses. SLPI Protein also has antimicrobial activity against mycobacteria and contributes to resistance against M.tuberculosis and L.major. It is involved in wound healing by limiting protease activity and interacts with GRN to protect progranulin from proteolysis. SLPI Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant mouse-derived SLPI protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-hFc labeled tag.
