6-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin is a 4-methylcoumarin derivative with an antitumor activity. 6-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin activates melanin synthesis in B16F10 melanoma cells. 6-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin is a pigmentation stimulator, and can be used for the study of skin conditions such as vitiligo[1].

6-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin（25-400 μM；72 小时）在 200 μM 时存活率为 67.95%，在 100 μM 时存活率为 90.38%。6-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin 在 25、50 和 100 μM 时以浓度依赖性方式显著刺激黑色素生成。6-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin 增强 B16F10 细胞中的酪氨酸酶活性，随后刺激黑色素生成[1]。
