Cecropin A 具有抗癌活性。Cecropin A (10-50 μM) 剂量依赖性地降低 HL-60 细胞的活力。Cecropin A (30 μM) 促进 ROS 产生，导致线粒体膜电位 (Δψm) 崩溃，并在 HL-60 细胞中产生核染色质的形态学变化。Cecropin A (30 μM) 还可导致 HL-60 细胞早期细胞凋亡并导致半胱天冬酶非依赖性细胞死亡^[1]。

Cecropin A (25 μM) 显著阻断 RAW264.7 细胞中 mTNF-α、mIL-1β 和 mMIP-2 mRNA 的表达，并轻微抑制 mMIP-1 mRNA 的表达^[2]。
Cecropin A (0.1，0.25，0.5，1，2.5，5 μM) 也抑制 LPS 刺激的 RAW264.7 细胞中 NO 的产生并降低 mTNF-α 细胞因子水平，并表现出抗炎活性^[2]。

Cell Assay ^[1]	Briefly, 5 × 10⁵ cells/mL in RPMI 1640 supplemented with 10% heat-inactivated FCS are placed onto 96-well plates. Cecropin A is added to cell cultures at a final concentration of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 μM and cells are incubated for 24 h at 37°C in a humidified atmosphere with 5% CO₂. Then, 20 μL MTT (0.5 mg/mL) is added to each well and the plate is incubated for 4 h at 37°C. The MTT solution is removed and isopropyl alcohol containing 0.04 N hydrochloric acid is added to each well to dissolve the formazan crystal. Absorbance is determined on a spectrophotometric microplate reader at a test wavelength of 550 nm and a reference wavelength of 620 nm. The absorbance of the cells incubated in the absence of cecropin A (untreated cells) is set at 100%. Results are expressed as percentage of cell viability^[1].
