磺基转移酶 (Sulfotransferase) 是一种催化硫酸基团转移的转移酶,参与内源性化合物(如激素、神经递质)和外源性化合物(如药物、环境污染物)的代谢。磺基转移酶主要位于细胞质和高尔基体中,参与小分子底物(如药物、激素、神经递质)的硫酸化和大分子(如多肽、蛋白质、脂质、糖胺聚糖)的硫酸化。磺基转移酶已被鉴定有多个亚型族,主要包括 SULT1、SULT2 和 SULT4。磺基转移酶的功能障碍可导致药物代谢异常、癌症、内分泌疾病和神经系统疾病[1][2]

Sulfotransferase is a transferase enzyme that catalyzes the transfer the sulfate groups, and participates in the metabolism of endogenous compounds (such as hormones, neurotransmitters) and exogenous compounds (such as drugs, environmental pollutants). Sulfotransferase is mainly located in cytoplasm and in the Golgi apparatus, which contributes to the sulfation of small molecule substrates (such as drugs, hormones, neurotransmitters) and the sulfation of macromolecules (such as peptides, proteins, lipids, and glycosaminoglycans), respectively. Sulfotransferase have been identified into multiple subfamilies, mainly including SULT1, SULT2, and SULT4. Sulfotransferase dysfunction would lead to abnormal drug metabolism, cancer, endocrine diseases and neurological diseases[1][2].
