Arcopilin A (compound Arcopilin A(1))is an antibacterial agent. Arcopilin A has weak inhibitory effects on fungal pathogens and Gram-positive bacteria, with IC50 values of 8.9 μg/mL and 14 μg/mL for cells KB-3-1 and L929, but it can effectively destroy preformed biofilms of Staphylococcus aureus. Arcopilin A can enhance the activities of gentamicin (GM; HY-K1050) and vancomycin (Vac; HY-B0671) by 115 and 31 times, respectively[1].

Arcopilin A (2-7.8 μg/mL) 抑制金黄色葡萄球菌 DSM 1104 浮游细胞生长[1]。
Arcopilin A (3.9-7.8 μg/mL，24 h) 与 GM 以及 Vac 联用时，对金黄色葡萄球菌 DSM 1104 浮游细胞有协同作用，所建抗生素的 MIC 值分别从 15.6 降至 0.13 μg/mL 和从 2 降至 0.065 μg/mL。联合处理显著提高了 GM 和 Vac 的效力，分别达到 115 倍和 31 倍[1]。
