DF 461 is a sterol synthase inhibitor with significant inhibitory activity. DF 461 shows high selectivity for the liver and can effectively inhibit cholesterol synthesis in rat liver. DF 461 has shown the effect of lowering plasma lipids in repeated dosing studies in non-rodents[1].
