Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; embryo mesenchyme; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Used to study LADD syndrome and intestinal atresia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in LADD syndrome and aplasia of lacrimal and salivary glands.
