The AGO2/Argonaute-2 protein is essential for RNA-mediated gene silencing via the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). "Minimal RISC" involves AGO2 binding to a guide RNA, such as microRNA (miRNA) or short interfering RNA (siRNA), which guides RISC for silencing with complementary mRNA. AGO2/Argonaute-2 Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived AGO2/Argonaute-2 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag. The total length of AGO2/Argonaute-2 Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is 860 a.a., with molecular weight of ~105 kDa.
