ASPN protein acts as a negative regulator in periodontal ligament (PDL) differentiation and mineralization, preventing ossification and maintaining homeostasis of the tooth support system. It inhibits BMP2-induced cell differentiation by blocking the binding of BMP2 to BMPR1B, thereby preventing BMP-dependent activation of SMAD proteins. ASPN Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is the recombinant human-derived ASPN protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His, N-SUMO labeled tag. The total length of ASPN Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is 348 a.a., with molecular weight of 55-60 kDa.
