描述

Mer Protein, a receptor tyrosine kinase, transduces signals by binding ligands like LGALS3, TUB, TULP1, or GAS6, regulating cell survival, migration, differentiation, and apoptotic cell phagocytosis (efferocytosis). Ligand binding induces MERTK autophosphorylation, creating docking sites for downstream molecules. Activated by ligand, Mer interacts with GRB2 or PLCG2, inducing MAPK1, MAPK2, FAK/PTK2, or RAC1 phosphorylation. MERTK signaling is implicated in macrophage clearance of apoptotic cells, platelet aggregation, cytoskeleton reorganization, and engulfment. In the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), Mer regulates phagocytosis of rod outer segment fragments. Moreover, Mer inhibits Toll-like receptors (TLRs)-mediated innate immune responses by activating STAT1, inducing SOCS1 and SOCS3 production. Mer Protein, Human (HEK293, mFc) is the recombinant human-derived Mer protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-mFc labeled tag.
