S6K1/RPS6KB1 is a kinase downstream of mTOR that regulates cellular processes critical for proliferation, growth, and cell cycle. It phosphorylates EIF4B, RPS6 and EEF2K and regulates protein synthesis by inhibiting the pro-apoptotic function of BAD, thereby enhancing cell survival. S6K1/RPS6KB1 Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived S6K1/RPS6KB1 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-GST labeled tag.
