MST1/STK4 protein is a stress-activated kinase that is critical in the Hippo signaling pathway and can induce apoptosis and regulate hepatocyte proliferation. Cleaved MST1/STK4 enters the nucleus, causing chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation.
