Acts upstream of or within several processes, including DNA conformation change; embryonic cleavage; and hematopoietic progenitor cell differentiation. Located in chromosome, centromeric region; condensed chromosome; and nucleolus. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; genitourinary system; nervous system; respiratory system; and sensory organ. Orthologous to human TOP2A (DNA Topoisomerase II alpha).
