6Ckine/CCL21A Protein, Mouse (sf9) is a homeostatic lymphoid chemokine that contributes to the entry of T cells and dendritic cells into the lymphoid T-zone. It acts through chemokine receptors CCR7 and CXCR3 to promote fibrogenic and inflammatory cytokine production. 6Ckine/CCL21A Protein, Mouse (sf9) is a recombinant mouse 6Ckine/CCL21A (S24-G133) expressed by Sf9 insect cells^[1].

CCL21，也称为 exodus-2 和次级淋巴趋化因子 (SLC)，是属于 CC 趋化因子家族的一种小细胞因子，位于人类基因组中的第 9 号染色体上。它与糖胺聚糖 (GAG) 结合并固定在内皮细胞的表面。作为一种趋化因子，CCL21 抑制造血并刺激趋化性，并且在体外对胸腺细胞和活化的 T 细胞具有趋化性，但对 B 细胞、巨噬细胞或中性粒细胞没有趋化性。同时，CCL21是T细胞迁移和粘附的强效刺激剂，与T细胞上的糖蛋白PSGL-1结合，促进T细胞迁移至次级淋巴器官。CCL21 可通过趋化因子受体 CCR7 和 CXCR3 发挥作用。其中，CCR7是一种GPCR，通常由T细胞亚群中央记忆细胞、胸腺T细胞、B细胞、成熟DC和其他稀有细胞亚群表达。ccl21 可作为中枢神经系统中的小胶质细胞激活剂，仅在濒危或机械损伤的神经元中表达^[1][2]。

CCL21 (intrathecal administration, .6 μg/mouse, once, 14 days) results in a significant and instantaneous decrease in paw withdrawal threshold (PWT) to .93 g, which returns to the control value of 1.44 g within 48 hours in wild-type C57BL/6 mice, also causes a rapid decrease in PWT to .721 g and does not show any recovery throughout the experiment in paucity of lymphoid T cells (plt) mutation mice^[2].
CCL21 (antibodies neutralization 1 μg/injection, twice weekly) reduces Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC)-induced abdominal hypersensitivity, alleviates pain associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and improves health status in situ mouse model of PDAC in C57BL/6 mice injected with K8484 cells^[3].

CCL21(-3 nM, 24 h) induces a rapid and significant upregulation of P2X4 protein expression of  microglia at concentrations as low as 1 nM^[2].
