The multifunctional HMGB2/HMG-2 protein exhibits multiple cellular functions and may function in a redox-sensitive manner. In the nucleus, it acts as a chromatin-associated non-histone protein that is essential for transcription, chromatin remodeling and V(D)J reorganization. HMGB2/HMG-2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived HMGB2/HMG-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.
