FR-146687 (FK 687) is a selective and orally active 5α-reductase inhibitor with IC50s of 1.7 nM and 4.6 nM for rat and human 5α-reductases, respectively. FR-146687 shows no inhibitory effects on other steroid oxidoreductases[1].

Animal Model: 4-week-old immature castrated male rats injected with Testosterone propionate (TP)[1]
Dosage: 0.032 mg/kg, 0.32 mg/kg, 3.2 mg/kg

Result: Dose-dependently reduced ventral prostate and seminal vesicle weight at doses above 0.1 mg/kg.
