Acts upstream of or within cell adhesion. Located in cytoplasmic vesicle. Is integral component of plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; eye; heart ventricle; and mesenchyme derived from neural crest. Used to study pigment dispersion syndrome.
