Pegylated synthetic human c-peptide (CBX129801) (s.c., 0.4, 1.33 or 4.0 mg/kg/wk, 39 weeks) can lead to cytoplasmic infiltration of vacuolated macrophages in the tissue at the injection site and drainage of axillary lymph nodes after administration of the drug without systemic macrophage vacuolation in Macaca fascicularis[1].
