转化生长因子α (TGF-alpha; TGF-α) 是一种有丝分裂多肽，属于表皮生长因子超家族细胞因子。TGF-α 由 50 个氨基酸组成，与 EGF 具有35-40%的同源性，EGF是EGF超家族的原型成员。和 EGF一样，TGF-α 也是表皮生长因子受体 (EGFR) 的配体。TGF-α 与 EGFR 结合，刺激完整的 RAS/RAF/MAPK 通路，导致与细胞增殖、侵袭和转移相关基因的转录。

Transforming growth factor α (TGF-alpha; TGF-α) is a mitogenic polypeptide member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family of cytokines. TGF-α is composed of 50 amino acids, and displays 35-40% homology with EGF which is the prototypic member of the EGF superfamily. Like EGF, TGF-α is also a ligand of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). TGF-α binds to the EGFR to stimulate an intact RAS/RAF/MAPK pathway, leading to the transcription of genes associated with cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis.
