Akt/mTOR-IN-1 (Compound 8r) is an AKT/mTOR signaling pathway inhibitor exhibiting an IC50 value of 0.8 µM with anticancer activity. Akt/mTOR-IN-1 can decrease the expression of Caspase 3 and increase the expression of the autophagic protein Cyclin B1, thereby inducing cell autophagy and apoptosis. Akt/mTOR-IN-1 can be used in research related to non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)[1].

Cell Proliferation Assay[1]

Cell Line: MCF-7 cells, MDA-MB-231 cells, HepG2 cells
Concentration: 10 μM
Incubation Time: 72 h
Result: Inhibited the proliferation of cancer cell lines. The IC50 values for HepG2, MCF-7, and MDA-MB-231 cells were 1.3, 0.5, and 0.8, respectively.

Cell Cycle Analysis[1]

Cell Line: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells
Concentration: 0.3125, 0.625, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Led to G2/M cell cycle arrest.

Western Blot Analysis[1]

Cell Line: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells
Concentration: 0.5, 1, 5, 10 μM
Incubation Time: 12 h
Result: Could increase LC3B-II protein level and decrease Lamp1 protein level in a dose-dependent manner.
